Needa began her career in the hospitality industry after graduating with a BA in Speech and Communications from San Francisco State University. (Go Gators!) She acquired 13 years of corporate experience in operational management before finding herself laid off in 2011 due to corporate downsizing, stemming from the 2008 Financial Crisis. After years of corporate burnout and falling out of passion for the hospitality industry, Needa finally had time to begin her new journey of exploration through travel and spent 4 months in Southeast Asia fulfilling her cultural curiosity and culinary adventurousness.
After a long 12 months of profound introspection, Needa decided to alter the course of her career by starting entry-level as a brand ambassador promoting season tickets for MLB in the Bay Area. She was initially excited about working with sports teams as an avid sports enthusiast herself, but not too keen on starting all over. What drew her in was the hands-on training and the opportunity to move up quickly with no seniority or politics, since having dealt with this in her prior career her thoughts were “Why not take a chance on myself, I got nothing to lose and only more experience to gain.” Within a year Needa was promoted to management and given the opportunity to manage cross-functional teams within recruiting, human resources, corporate events, campaign management, and developing marketing and sales teams. She spent about 5 years in the Bay Area overseeing telecom clients Sprint and Assurance Wireless before expanding out to Los Angeles in 2018. Her 10-year tenure in organizational leadership has presented many challenges and incredible rewards for her team, clients, and herself. She is most proud of her resiliency and showing her team how to adapt to change in new environments and recently during the pandemic mentoring her management team on how to navigate through a dynamic economic landscape. Needa has developed a passion for helping others grow personally, professionally, and financially. She has now ventured into commercial real estate investments and joint ventures to teach and show people how to build wealth and achieve financial freedom. She is still culturally curious, loves to cook and travel, spends time with family, and is a fur mom to Marley & Charlie.

Leah was born in Chattanooga, TN, and was raised in Georgia. She is the oldest of 7 siblings which she helped her single parent raise. At an incredibly early age, Leah began working at age 14. Her having various jobs in retail and fast food allowed Leah to naturally develop interpersonal communication skills, essentially leading her to the San Francisco Bay Area to start a career path in sales and eventually opening her own business in landscape and interior design in 2003. As a result of the economic downturn in 2008, Leah was forced to cease operations by 2010. She knew the only real stability to have income for herself would be in a sales role, so when she joined the company nearly 10 years ago, she thought it was amazing employees were rewarded on performance, so having the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions and the ability to move up into management within 6 months motivated Leah immensely. Due to her natural talent in sales, Ms. Young drove herself to the top within 5 months. She says, “My work ethic comes from the instincts of survival and having to help take care of my siblings at such a young age, but I’m very disciplined to reach my goals and my competitive nature drives me to this day.” As an entrepreneur, Leah recognizes and appreciates the teams she has around her, knowing that the success of any business is built upon always leading by example, so Leah works as hard for any of our clients as if she were working for herself. As CEO she focuses on building client relationships, meeting industry-wide standards, and business development. As a serial entrepreneur, she now spends time investing in multifamily real estate. She wants to help people put their hard-earned money to work for them, by helping others acquire assets that can change their quality of life. Leah loves sculpting and art, music, and reading to feed her curious mind.

Born and raised in Long Beach, as the middle sibling of 3 sisters, Alyssa opted to take the non-traditional route after high school and started working as an administrative assistant, while starting her entrepreneurial journey in the pastry business. While working full-time she launched Summer Loves Treats in 2018 and continues to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth in the Long Beach area. Alyssa guides and manages the overall provision of our Human Resource Department, including services, policies, and programs. As well as, performing the full life cycle of recruiting inclusive of sourcing, screening applicants, maintaining recruiting systems, drafting offer letters, providing follow-up with candidates, onboarding, supporting hiring managers, and reporting statistics and data on employment trends. She is the definition of having it all in your career and family life, “You just have to have the work ethic and stay focused on your goals and remember who and what you’re sacrificing your time for.” Today Alyssa enjoys the freedom and time she has created in raising her 3 children, being a baseball mom, boating on the river, and baking sweet treats in between!

I graduated from Cal State Dominguez Hills in May 2023 with a B.S. in Business Administration and Human Resources. Originally from the Bay Area, I moved to the Long Beach area for college and fell in love with it. During my college years, I played collegiate volleyball and have been coaching since high school. The summer after graduating, I worked at a spin studio.
I joined the company in September 2023. During my time with the company, I have learned the importance of urgency, time management, and being comfortable with being uncomfortable. I’ve taken the initiative when things need to get done and quickly adapted to change. Communication has also been a crucial lesson, as having a great team that communicates effectively is essential for success in this business.

I have been with the company for 9 months. During my time here, I have learned the importance of a strong team atmosphere. At HIERO Inc., we have built a family-like environment that makes coming into the office enjoyable every day. Additionally, I have learned the crucial skill of time management, understanding that there are only so many hours in the day and the need to diligently schedule tasks to ensure everything gets completed.
